GEMPACK Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the answers contain references to section numbers in the GEMPACK user documentation, which previously was contained in a number of separate manuals called GPD-1 to GPD-9. Now these documents have been revised and consolidated into a single manual, which you can access from this page, which also explains how to find, say, "section 3.11 of GPD-2" in the newer documentation.

Solution Problems for Dynamic Models (solved via RunDynam etc)

• If x is exogenous and not shocked in the Policy run, how can it have a nonzero value in the results?
• If y = A*x where x is exogenous and not shocked in the Policy run, how can y have a nonzero value in the deviation results?
• Subtotals for policy shocks do not add up to cumulative deviation results

Solution Warnings

• There are warnings about equations not being satisfied very accurately. Is this serious?

Converting Data into GEMPACK

Header Array (and Other Binary Files) on Windows PCs

• Are Header Array files produced using LF95 identical to those produced using LF90 or F77L3?

WinGEM Problems
