Results for All/Several Years

In the upper box (Results for All/Several Years) of the Results page are results summarising a whole run, or several years of a run (base, base rerun or policy) or giving differences between the policy and the base case.

In this part of the Results page, think outside to inside (or, left to right).

1. You select either Base, Base Rerun, Policy or Differences in the Which Run group to indicate which run you are interested in or whether you want to look at the differences between the policy and the base.

2. You select either All or Some from the Which Years group to indicate whether you are interested in the whole run (All) or results relevant to just several consecutive years of the whole run (Some). The Some choice is only relevant if you have run spreadsheet jobs for just some years. In the Some case, you will have to choose which of the years you wish to look at after you click on the AnalyseGE, Spreadsheet or Graph/ViewSOL button (see 3 and 4 below).

3. You select either Year-on-year or cumulative from the Style group, or else you can click on the AnalyseGE button to load the relevant results and data into AnalyseGE.

4. Once you have selected the run (from the Which Run group), the years (from the Which Years group) and the Style, you can look at results

in spreadsheet form via the Spreadsheet button, or

in ViewSOL, which lets you create graphs, via the Graph/ViewSOL button.

Note that

what you see when you click on the Spreadsheet or Graph/ViewSOL buttons depends on choices 1-3 above. That is why these buttons are inside all 3 groups. Click here for more details in the Spreadsheet case, and here for more details in the Graph/ViewSOL case.

what you see when you click on the AnalyseGE button depends only on choices 1 and 2 above. That is why the AnalyseGE button is not inside the Style group.

what you see when you click on the Accuracy button (see below) does not depend on any of the choices above (which is why that button is outside all groups.

if you have selected the Some button from the Which Years group, after you click on the AnalyseGE, Spreadsheet or Graph/ViewSOL button, you will be asked to choose from the available files covering only some of the years. The file names you choose between indicate the years. The file names you choose are different in the Spreadsheet, Graph/ViewSOL and AnalyseGE cases. [As indicated above, the Some choice is only relevant if you have run spreadsheet jobs for just some years.]

Via the Accuracy button you can look at a form which gives a quick indication of the accuracy of all the different simulations. [In this case, what you see does not depend on the choices made in the 3 group boxes, which is why the Accuracy button is outside these 3 group boxes).
