Results from Spreadsheet Jobs Covering Just Some Years

You may choose to run spreadsheet jobs which cover just some years on the whole simulation (as shown on the Sim Overview page).

For example, suppose that the whole policy simulation will cover 20 years.

When preparing this, you may prefer to first solve just the first few years for each of the Base, Rerun and Policy to get a preliminary check on the results. You might do this via the menu item Run Part Base, Same Part BaseRerun and Policy under the Tasks menu.

You can also make spreadsheets and prepare to look at results covering just some years using the menu item Run SS Jobs for Selected Years under the Tasks menu.

You can also run spreadsheet jobs covering just some years if you select menu item Run Simulations for Selected Years under the Tasks menu and leave Do SS jobs for these years checked on the years selection forms you are shown.

Whenever you run one of the spreadsheet jobs over just some of the years,

•you create spreadsheets (year-on-year or cumulative) which summarise just these few years.

•you create Sequence files which allow you to look at the results for just these years in ViewSOL.

•you create cumulative results RSL files which allow you to load cumulative results across these years into AnalyseGE, and you create a cumulative differences RSL file which allow you to load the cumulative difference results across these years into AnalyseGE.

You only create the differences spreadsheet files and the cumulative differences RSL file if you tell the software to Do Deviation jobs.

You access results produced by these spreadsheet jobs covering just some years via the Some button in the Which Years group in the Results for All/Several Years part of the Results page. If you have selected Some (rather than All) from the Which Years group, after you click on the AnalyseGE, Spreadsheet or Graph/ViewSOL button, you will be asked to choose from the available files covering only some of the years. The file names you choose between indicate the years. The file names you choose are different in the Spreadsheet, Graph/ViewSOL and AnalyseGE cases.

Spreadsheet files covering just some years, and cumulative results or cumulative differences RSL files produced by spreadsheet jobs covering just some years, are not included in Results Zip files. RunDynam does not record the time, date and size of such files.
