Zipping Up Results Files

You can zip up all results from a complete policy simulation (via menu item Zip up All Results under the Zip menu) or you can choose to zip up just results you select (via menu item Zip up Selected Results under the Zip menu). The file you create is called a Results Zip file.

If you select the results to zip, you will choose

•which type of files to add to the zip,

•which years you want files for, and

•which multi-year simulations (Base, Rerun or Policy) you want files for.

The types of results files which can be included in Results Zip files are:

•Spreadsheet files (year-on-year, cumulative or difference spreadsheets) and cumulative solution and cumulative differences RSL files (used for AnalyseGE) covering all years.

•Solution files, SLC files, Updated data files, other Output files (produced via Write statements in your TABLO Input file). [The UDC file produced by the simulation for the last year of the Rerun (or the Base if you are not doing the Rerun) is included if you select SLC files. This file is needed when you load cumulative differences into AnalyseGE.]

•Command files, SOL, SLI and SEQ files (the latter used to speed up ViewSOL).

You decide whether or not to include files of these different types in the zip file.

If you zip up all results via menu item File | Zip up All Results , the file types in 1 and 2 above are included (not those in 3) for all years and for all relevant multi-year simulations (Base, Rerun if done, and Policy).

Results Zip files contain records of the runs (times and dates when files were created) which produced these results. If you restore results, these records may be unzipped.

Results Zip files contain a file AAHIST which stores a brief history as to when the Results Zip file was created. You can ask to see this history via the menu item View History of Results Zip file under the Zip menu.

Spreadsheet files covering just some years, and cumulative results or cumulative differences RSL files covering just some years, are not included in Results Zip files.

Results Zip files can be very large.
