Restoring Time and Date for Files Extracted from Zip Files

This applies to restoring files from Zip Archives, Closure/Shocks Zip Archives and Results Zip files made by RunDynam.

You should always restore file from these using the appropriate menu item under the Zip menu rather than by using some other unzipping tool (such as WinZIP). Unlike other unzipping tools, RunDynam attempts to restore the time and date when the files were last modified exactly as it was when you made the Zip archive.

RunDynam puts a file called XXFLTIME.XXX in Results Zip files and in certain of the ZIP files (namely, MODEL.ZIP, DATA.ZIP and CMFBITS.ZIP) included in a Zip Archive or a Closure/Shocks Zip Archive. This file is used by RunDynam when it attempts to restore the time and date when the files were last modified.

The reason for this behaviour of RunDynam is rather technical so you probably dont need to know more. In case you are interested, we indicate here some of the details.
