Closure/Shocks Zip Archives

These just contain the files on the Closure/Shocks page and their constituents. These are all put into the CMFBITS.ZIP file. This is the same as the CMFBITS.ZIP file in a full Zip archive.

When you save a Closure/Shocks Zip archive (via the various options under the Zip menu), you choose which parts of the Closure/Shocks page you save.

You may save both Closure and Shocks files from the relevant columns. This is what happens if you use menu item Save just Closure/Shocks files as Closure/Shocks ZIP .

Whichever of the above options you choose, all constituents of the Closure and Shocks files saved are also saved.

When you save a Closure/Shocks file, you choose whether to save all the relevant columns on the Closure/Shocks page or just some. With each of the three menu items indicated above, you have the choice of saving All (Base and Policy), Base or Policy. For example, if you are saving just Closure files and you choose Policy, you save just the Policy Closure files and their constituents.

Closure/Shocks Zip archives also contain the Simulation Details files (APP.DS1 and APP.DS2) and they contain a history file ZIPHIST.TXT. But they do not contain the Model or Data files, or the EXTRA or TABETC files contained in full Zip archives.

If you have several applications in the same directory, you may find it useful to save appropriate Closure/Shocks Zip archives (as well as one full Zip archive) when you are preserving these applications. An example will make this clear.

When you restore Closure/Shocks files from a Closure/Shocks Zip Archive, you will be asked which parts (if any) of the simulation details you wish to load.
