Constituent files

These are files referred to in a Closure or Shocks file named on the Closure/Shock page.

For example, if one of the Closure files includes the line

modify Environment file shortrun ;

then the GEMPACK Environment file SHORTRUN.EN4 is a constituent of this Closure file.

Similarly, if one of the Shocks files includes the line

shock powtax = file ptax99.shk ;

then the text file ptax99.shk (which contains numerical values of the shocks) is a constituent of this Shocks file.

All constituent files must be in the Working Directory (as specified on the Sim Overview page). Otherwise the software will not run the base case or policy deviation.

Note that any constituent file must have a different short name from that of any of the Starting Data files.
