GEMPACK Programs required

RunDynam needs access to the GEMPACK programs ACCUM, DEVIA, SEENV and SLTOHT.

It also requires access to the GEMPACK program GEMSIM if you want to be able to work with models implemented as GEMSIM Auxiliary files. In this case GEMSIM must be either in the same directory as RUNDYNAM.EXE or on the DOS Path. GEMSIM must be from Release 6.0 or later of GEMPACK. See also when a GEMPACK licence may be required.

Special versions of ACCUM and DEVIA (later than those in Release 6.0 of GEMPACK) are required. These are called ACCUM11.EXE and DEVIA11.EXE, which must be in the same directory as RunDynam. [These are distributed with RunDynam.]

With a Source Code GEMPACK Licence

RunDynam uses SLTOHT and SEENV from Release 6.0 of GEMPACK. If you have installed GEMPACK according to the usual instructions, placed the GEMPACK directory on your path, set the environment variable GPDIR to point to this main GEMPACK directory and installed the Windows programs ViewHAR and ViewSOL also in this main GEMPACK directory, then RunDynam should run smoothly.

Without a Source Code GEMPACK Licence

If you do not have a full GEMPACK licence, details are given below of which GEMPACK programs are required.

RunDynam must have access to the programs ViewHAR, ViewSOL, SEENV and SLTOHT. These can be placed either in the same directory as RUNDYNAM.EXE or else on the DOS Path. Suitable versions of these are normally distributed with RunDynam (and placed in the same directory as RunDynam during installation). [They can also be obtained from the GEMPACK web site.]

In each case, RunDynam runs the version in its directory if one is present there. See details of where the program searches for other programs.
