Where the program finds various other programs

These are

The first four cases are similar to each other. In each case, a file dialog appears and you need to select the relevant file.

For example, when you have completed the base case, the program lets you examine the spreadsheet file produced. To do this it must be able to find the spreadsheet program on your computer.

You only need to tell the program once where to find each of these utility programs; the location is remembered for future runs.

If you ask to carry out a task requiring one of the above utility programs and you have not told RunDynam where to find it, you will see a file dialog asking you where to find the utility program. This would happen, for example, if you chose Text file from the View menu before you had told RunDynam which text editor to use. Then you would see an open dialog asking you to say which editor to use first and then, as expected, a second file dialog asking you which text file to look at.

Where to find the GEMPACK programs is a little different.
