Names and Conventions for CMFSTART Files Prior to Version 3.15 This topic documents rules that applied to CMFSTART files prior to Version 3.14 (November 2006). [The current conventions about CMFSTART file are shown here.] Prior to Version 3.15 (November 2006), CMFSTART files had to have special names, namely •CMFSTARTB -- just used in Command files for the Base Case •CMFSTARTR -- just used in Command files for the Rerun •CMFSTARTP -- just used in Command files for the Policy. Now If any of these run-specific files is present in the Working Directory, the statements in that file will be included in all Command files for that run. If the run-specific file is not present but CMFSTART is present in the Working Directory, the statements in CMFSTART will be included in all Command files for that run. For example, suppose that files CMFSTARTB and CMFSTART are in the Working Directory but there is no CMFSTARTP file in the Working Directory. Then the statements in CMFSTARTB will go into all Command files for the Base while the statements in CMFSTART will go into all Command files for the Policy and the Rerun. Note that the statements in CMFSTART are not put into Command files for the Base, only those from CMFSTARTB are used there. Note that these CMFSTART files have no suffix -- for example CMFSTARTP (not CMFSTARTP.CMF for example).
