WARNING: This Linux version was prepared as part of the 2002 GEMPACK Release 8, and has not been updated since. We have not tested it with recent Linux distributions. Unfortunately the compiler used to produce it (Kylix) is no longer supported.
A Demonstration Version of GEMPACK for Linux is available for X-86 PCs.
With the Demonstration Version of GEMPACK you can carry out the full range of modelling tasks, including running simulations with existing models, modifying models and building your own model. However the Demonstration Version is limited to small models.
Several models are supplied with the Demonstration Version.
You can download the Demonstration Version of GEMPACK to your Linux PC. Included are computer files needed for carrying out simulations with the example models.
The main GEMPACK user documentation consists of several documents. These apply to all versions of GEMPACK, including the Demonstration Version for Linux. You can download PDF versions of these documents. In particular, document GPD-1 contains an introduction to GEMPACK and document GPD-8 contains detailed hands-on instructions to get you started carrying out simulations with several models. We encourage you to start with these.
With the Demonstration Version of GEMPACK for Linux, the program GEMSIM is used to carry out simulations.
