Transfer

TRANSFER statement is very useful in TABLO programs which essentially copy a file, modifying or creating just a few headers. It saves declaring many coefficients.

Transfer unread from file INFILE to file OUTFILE;

Transfer unwritten from FILE INFILE TO FILE OUTFILE;

Transfer "MP30" from file INFILE to updated file UPDATA;

Transfer unread from file USERWGT to updated file;

TRANSFER UNREAD causes all headers on the old file which have not been read by the TABLO program to be transferred to the new file. TRANSFER UNWRITTEN causes all headers on the old file which have not been written already to the new file to be written.
