Creating a new version manually Create a new subdirectory beneath the RunGTAP directory. The name of this subdirectory (8 letters max) will be the name of the new version. The new subdirectory must contain the following files: VERSION.TXT text on the Version Info page BASEDATA.HAR flows data SETS.HAR sets DEFAULT.PRM HAR parameters file DEFAULT.EXP default experiment file If the new version uses the the same aggregation as some existing version, you can copy all these files from the existing version subdirectory. It is probably a good idea to copy the file CMFSTART also. The DEFAULT.EXP file must contain at least the following statements, which each appear just as they would in a CMF file: EXOGENOUS ... ; REST ENDOGENOUS; SHOCK ; You should now be able to start up RunGTAP, change to the new version, and solve the model. The first time you do this, RunGTAP will automatically create the files VERSION.SLI and BASEVIEW.HAR. Now you use can use RunGTAP to create new EXP, CLS, SHF, and PRM files. Modify closures and shocks by typing directly into the boxes for shocks and closures on the appropriate pages. Edit verbal descriptions and choose new solution methods and parameter files. It is best to save EXP, CLS or SHF files just after successfully computing a solution, so you know that they work properly. XSET and XSUBSET statements, if needed, must appear in the file CMFSTART. When RunGTAP starts up, or when a new version is loaded, it loads the EXP which was last used for that version, if possible. Otherwise it loads DEFAULT.EXP if it exists. Otherwise it loads the EXP file which comes alphabetically first URL of this topic: www.copsmodels.com/webhelp/rungtap/hc_manver.htm Link to full GEMPACK Manual Link to GEMPACK homepage |
