64-bit EXE files will not run under 32-bit Windows Each Windows operating system is either 32-bit or 64-bit. Also, each Windows EXE file is either 32-bit or 64-bit. You can run 32-bit EXEs under 64-bit Windows, but you cannot run 64-bit EXEs under 32-bit Windows. You should be aware of this if you create Version Archives for others to use: if the Archive contains a 64-bit EXE, that Archive is not useable by those who have only a 32-bit Windows operating system. RunGTAP tries to warn you: •if you create a Version Archive that contains a 64-bit EXE. •if you are running 32-bit Windows and the current version contains a 64-bit EXE.
