Model Data Files (MDF files) Model Data Files enable you to move between different groups of data files for the same model. The usual suffix is .MDF. For each input data file, these specify the actual associated data file. For example, •the MONASH model has data files corresponding to different starting years and to different aggregations (25 sectors or 113 sector) of the model. If you save different MDF files (each one corresponding to a different starting year or different aggregation), you can easily switch between these by loading the appropriate MDF file. •the GTAP model has many different aggregations, each one consisting of a GTAPDATA,GTAPSETS and GTAPPARM file. If you save such an aggregation as an MDF file, you can easily switch back to it by loading this MDF file.
