Keys for Data Files

Each data file must have a 3-character key associated with it (as shown on the Other Files page). These keys are used in making the names of updated data files.

By default this 3-character key is the first 3 letters of the Logical name of the file (as indicated on the data part of the Model/Data page). However, if two logical file names agree in the first 3 characters (for example, if there are files with logical names EXTRA and EXTRA4), different 3-character keys must be specified for these files.

Keys which differ from the default are specified on the Dynamic Information File supplied with the model.
