Prerequisites

You must use Release 7.0 or later of GEMPACK when carrying out simulations you wish to analyse using AnalyseGE.. When GEMSIM or TABLO-generated programs carry out a simulation, they produce a new file with suffix .SLC which contains the (pre-sim) values of the coefficients. The non-suffix part of the name is the same as that of the Solution file name.

The programs SLTOHTA.EXE, TEXTBIA.EXE and TABCHKW.EXE must be available in the same directory as the AnalyseGE program.

The program TABCHKW is just the Check part of TABLO. It is used by AnalyseGE to Check the TAB file, producing INF and MNC files used by the TABmate part of AnalyseGE.

•If the Solution file you are loading was produced by Release 9 (or later) of GEMPACK, AnalyseGE reads the Solution file directly and extracts the TAB file, TABLO STI file and Command file directly from it. AnalyseGE does not need to run SLTOHT to convert the Solution file to a Header Array file, nor to run TEXTBI to extract the TAB, TABLO STI and Command files in this case. [In this case TEXTBIA.EXE and SLTOHTA.EXE are not really needed.]

•If the Solution file you are loading was produced by Release 7 or 8 of GEMPACK, AnalyseGE must run TEXTBI to extract the TAB file, TABLO STI file and Command file from the Solution file. AnalyseGE must also run SLTOHT to convert the Solution file to a Header Array file from which AnalyseGE can read the simulation results.
