Popup Menu Items Relating to Update Statements If you have clicked on an Update statement, you can evaluate the coefficient being updated (not any variables used in the RHS of the Update). The statement-specific menu items in the popup menu are: Evaluate this Coefficient. This means to evaluate (or show) all the values of this coefficient. This menu item is always visible when you click on an Update statement. Show Just These Values. This menu item is only visible when part of the coefficient (rather than all of the coefficient) is being updated in the statement you have clicked on. If you click on this menu item, you will see the values of just the part of the coefficient being updated. Show Pre-Sim and Updated Values (toggle first). The effect of this is described below. Show Pre-Sim and Updated Values (toggle last). The effect of this is described below. If you ask to Show Pre-Sim and Updated Values, the pre-simulation values, updated (that is, post-simulation) values and changes are evaluated and shown. These 3 are shown associated with the "toggles" PreSim, Updated and Changes. If only part of the coefficient in question is updated in the Update statement, only the pre-sim, updated and changes values for this part of the coefficient will be shown. Note that the updated values are calculated afresh by AnalyseGE (rather than being read from the updated data files produced during the simulation). AnalyseGE calculates them on the assumption that the simulation results are accurate solutions of the underlying levels equations of the model. [Thus, if you have calculated a relatively accurate solution to the model, the Updated values shown by AnalyseGE will be very close to those in the updated data files. However, if you calculated out a Johansen or other not very accurate solution of the model, the Updated values shown by AnalyseGE may be significantly different from those shown in the updated data files.] The toggle set used is always Xset UpdVal (PreSim, Updated, Changes) ; URL of this topic: www.copsmodels.com/webhelp/analysege/hc_popupupd.htm Link to full GEMPACK Manual Link to GEMPACK homepage |
